Spring and early summer are such gorgeous seasons here in East Tennessee. It is truly one of our favorite times to capture portraits, here are three reasons why:
1 – the Blooms!
The flowers are blooming, the trees are blooming – there is color bursting from everywhere. These beautiful blossoms and the bright green leaves can make the perfect backdrop for family portraits. You’ll walk away with something to capture a beautiful moment in time to brighten the walls in your home no matter what the weather may be outside. One of our favorite locations for spring and summer portraits (and of course weddings) is the beautiful 47-acre Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. It’s just 5 minutes from downtown, open every day, all year and admission is free!
2 – the Weather!
It’s not too hot or too cold! Of course it’s not hard to dress for the weather in colder seasons or the heat of summer but if your family photo shoot involves anyone under the age of 10 you may have some difficulty with getting them on board with your wardrobe choices. This time of year allows for little ones and grown ups to be comfortable in almost anything, from simple dresses and collared shirts or a coordinated casual look.
3 – the Daylight!
The days are LONG this time of year, giving us plenty of time to capture you and your family in the beautiful light, whether that’s the morning or evening – it allows us to easily work around your work schedule and schedule your portraits almost any day of the week.
