Hi all of you amazing Brides-to-Be! It’s Tuesday and you know what that means? It’s time for my Westland Farms Tuesday Tip! And, today we are chatting Weddings…whoohoo!
As I am certain you already know, there are so many details that go into a wedding day timeline. The best way to keep the planning from becoming overwhelming is to break the wedding day into parts:: Getting Ready, First Look, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Portraits, Reception, Grand Exit. All equally as important as the next, but entirely different from one another. Timeline aside, there are a few preparations that can not only make your wedding day less stressful and more successful- but, also create a lot of fun.
Tips for the Getting Ready Piece of Your Wedding Day
It’s time to open the champagne and spend the morning with your bridesmaids! Getting ready to look your best for a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life is SO Much Fun. Here are our top tips to prepare yourself so that you can joyfully conquer the first part of the day when it arrives.
SCHEDULE
You’ll need a nice big block of time to enjoy the morning getting ready; the last thing you want is to feel rushed on this important day! Talk to your makeup artist and hairstylist to see how much time each of them needs and add in several hours for showering, photographs, eating and putting on your jewelry and dress. Then, if you do not have a wedding planner, put a trusted someone else in charge of keeping you to schedule.
CREATE A PLAYLIST
Have a playlist set-up ahead of time with upbeat music that you and your friends will have fun getting ready to! You know that you and your gals have some memories that include a specific jam. Make that list, pack the bluetooth speaker, and be ready. Because, every getting ready session needs a little dancing ❤️
PACK A POWER-STRIP
Hair dryers, flat irons, phone chargers, bluetooth speakers, steamer – the available outlets in the room where you are getting ready can fill up quick! Bring a power-strip to ensure everyone has access to power.
EAT
You might be so excited (and maybe a teeny bit nervous) that you don’t have a huge appetite. But, Wedding Day is NOT the day to skip a meal. Plan to have a healthy high protein meal and snacks available for everyone who will be getting ready with you – fruit, protein bars, trail mix, or sandwiches. Avoid bright colored or staining foods…just incase.
DRINK (but not too much)
Keep yourself hydrated. And, go ahead and have that glass of champagne to celebrate the day! Just be careful not to drink too much and risk a headache or unhappy belly before the ceremony even starts.
I truly cannot wait to capture your wedding day and all of the fun moments surrounding it. Please get in touch so we can start working with you as you plan the perfect East Tennessee wedding! ✨
