Grit & Grace | Redrawing the Plan

Hi friends!

sarah keenan photographer knoxville asheville wedding family

If you have had the chance to follow along with my rebranding journey here in the Knoxville-Asheville areas, you have seen so many changes.  I launched Westland Farms Studio two years ago covering all of the photography genres that I offer.  Then, I launched Boudoir Studio Knoxville, Knoxville Real Estate Photography, and Bringin’ the Booth, Photo Booth.  I felt that separating these pieces of my business would make more sense to you, the readers and client.  Then, needing a platform for me (hi! 🙋🏼‍♀️) and my sharing shenanigans: family, food, oils, and health coaching, I launched And, a Heap of Grace– my personal blog and Social Media platforms.  And I still have my coastal brand, Blue Poppy.  The separation seemed brilliant and clear at the time.

But, you guys!!  That was seriously 6 websites, 6 Facebook accounts, 6 Instagram accounts, 6 Blogs, and 6 Pinterest accounts to manage. Wait.  What??!  Yes!!  It was actually an insane idea.  It was absolutely insane because, even though I have Allison, an amazing Marketing specialist, pulling a tremendous amount of digital weight, I’m still a mom, a wife, active in my community, church, and kids’ schools, have livestock and pets, a house and studio to keep, and, well, YOU!

So after two years of building out these separate pieces of my business and person, I’ve made the decision to draw them all back into one nice little space for us to enjoy together.  Transparency: I’m a little bit anxious about mixing family photography with boudoir photography and wedding photography with my weekly meal plans.  But, as you already know my focus word for 2020 is WARRIOR.  I quickly realized that in order to best take action on the needs of this year and all that it encompasses, I was going to have to simplify.  Simp. Li.Fy. I could not spread myself thin and do it well.  And, here is a little secret about me- I have a difficult time doing something not well.  It is innate part of my person (remember, I’m an enneagram 3w4).  So, I would rather not do something at all than do it poorly.  And as I really evaluated what my life focuses are, I realized that I’m just one me.  I love ALL of the things I do and chat about.  But, I am still only one me!

So- here we are.  All of the photography pieces are now falling under Sarah Keenan, Photographer- online and on social media and I have one blog, now called Grit & Grace (a well thought-out name for this crazy hustler that has thrived on Grit but survived through Grace).

I hope, regardless of why you follow along here, you will find information here helpful.  But, if a specific post doesn’t fit where you are- it is totally cool to keep scrolling to the next pertinent post or use the search column here to the right to select the topics that interest you most.

Tossing fear to the side and saving myself from myself. Ha!

Welcome to Sarah Keenan, Photographer and my Blog, Grit & Grace.  I’m looking forward to this journey with you.

Hello there!  Sarah here!
Thank you for taking time to stop in.  I am excited to hear more about your journey and how I might best serve you.

I am wrapping up my 18th year as a branding specialist, photographer and business coach. “You Did Not Wake-up Today to Be Mediocre” is the motto in our home. And, I do my best to live with genuine Faith and excitement in what is present at any given moment!

I have an affinity to all things light and airy.  I love color, sunshine, romance, and laughter.  I love inspirational quotes, meeting new people, flowers, and the idea of finishing a great book.  My go-to drink is coffee.  My outlet is running.  And, aallllll of my free time is spent with my amazing crew.  I love relationships and tend to love really, really big.

I am grateful for this unpredictable, exciting, emotional career full of people like you.  Connections with others and the creation of awesome outcomes are my number one work priority.  I am so glad that you’ve stopped by and are looking around.  I’m not certain that we’ve even met.  But, I can tell you that I am already entirely excited about working with and serving you.
