Hey friends! Let’s chat boudoir photography for a minute?
I imagine you’ve considered the idea, or are at least curious about how it works, or you wouldn’t be here. Well, I am excited that you’re here and can’t wait to help answer your questions. Here is the thing, Boudoir Photography is a fun, non-intimidating, personal experience aimed at making you Queen for the day, unlocking a piece of you that you may not be familiar with, and leaving you confidant. And, no. It is absolutely not pornography.
In fact, if you’re looking for something that pushes the edge in that direction- I may not be your best fit.
My studio spaces are private, comfortable spaces that create a relaxing environment. My highly sought after hair and make up artist is easy going, caring, and no fuss (And, amazing!!). And me, well, I am just a gal. I am a mom, a woman, business owner, crown straightener, and advocate for fierce women. I am pretty much a simple girl that loves relationships and the use of photography to create amazingness.
I truly do believe that being a woman can be incredibly challenging. We are asked by society to wear so many hats and are driven by our nature to keep the world moving. From full time jobs to full time home-life, today’s culture can leave many of us feeling less than awesome.
And, I am not okay with that. I hope you are not either.
It may have taken me a short 44+ years to love being a woman, but I certainly do today. I value our grace, nature, resiliency, and fierce strength that comes from being a female.
And, I want to share that energy with you.

My clients are all women. They each come to me with a different story and a different background, but a very familiar goal. Many of clients are celebrating themselves after the end of a courageous fight with cancer or a battle with weightloss. Many of my clients are Military Wives creating a unique and intimate gift for their husband whom isn’t home every night. And, many of my clients are getting married or celebrating an anniversary and creating an exciting gift for their partner. These women are just like you in many ways.

You contact me with questions. We plan a time to chat. We schedule your session date and the planning begins. I will walk you through creating the style for your boudoir session, help you select your attire, and share my cell number in the event that you need to text me at anytime along the journey. You begin your session with confidence. And, we have a blast!

THE Tidewater BOUDOIR Session PROCESS
1:: Let’s Chat!
I know what it takes for most of us to step out on this limb. Girl, I’ve got you! These images are not my vision. They are yours. This is why every boudoir session starts with a consultation. We will discuss which images from my portfolio resonate with you most and find out what you like stylistically so we can design your session accordingly.
This consultation is also a great time to figure out how you’ll want your final artwork presented. I provide options such as digital imagery, albums, nightstand books, and prints. During our consultation we will have the opportunity to go over all of the options and help you find the choices that make the most sense for you.
The minimum time between your initial consultation and your session is 2 weeks. If you don’t have time to meet in person, I am happy to chat over the phone.
2:: Making it Official
It’s a match! When you’re ready to move forward, we will make it official. And, I’ve made signing your contract and paying your retainer super simple and very easy. Think personal online portal, one place that’s all yours to handle all of the details.
After your session is officially booked, you will receive a questionnaire that will help me get to know you and your style a little bit better and my Tidewater Boudoir Digital Magazine packed with all kinds of tricks and tips.
3:: Preparing for Boudoir Portraits
I really do understand the excitement and nerves that go into scheduling a Boudoir Photography session. I am ready to hand-off some great insight and guidance as you prepare for your boudoir session. You will receive links to my online articles that will help in planning wardrobe, jewelry, accessories and props, as well as the best tips for getting ready.
My cell phone number is directly available to you. This is the time to send me ideas, screen shots of the lingerie that you are considering, and discuss any detail you feel hasn’t been covered.
4:: Your Boudoir Session
The planning is done. Now we get to have some fun! On the day of the photo shoot you will finally get to experience your very own boudoir session. Bring your outfits that you’ve picked and your favorite champagne and let us take care of the rest. Your features will be enhanced by my makeup artist and you will be coached by me every step of the way. You will look amazing.
5:: I t’s All Been Amazing
About 3 weeks after your Boudoir Session, your images will be ready for viewing. We will schedule a time for you to review images with me in the studio. Feel free to bring along your bestie and, together, we will select your favorite images. Then, I will design your products. Once the design is approved by you, I will place your order. Boom. Just like that!
