IT’S HALLOWEEN WEEK!
An exciting time around my home, for sure! This year, we have a unicorn, a track runner, a couple of hippies, and some undecided 🤣 I’m always curious what the kids will select as their costumes. And then oftentimes, I’m left shrugging as I prepare costumes. I wonder why they chose what they chose and why. This year, as I began preparations, I realized that while the costume choices of my kiddos usually surprise me, I am super excited at their ability to think outside their normal. That’s exactly what I want them to do! And what a better holiday to celebrate something different?
The Out-of-the-Norm Wedding Experience
Then it dawned on me. Weddings surrounding particular holidays trend in the same fashion as my children picking out their Halloween costumes. When a wedding is planned around a particular holiday or time of year that is exciting or important to the individual planning it, creativity can abound! While I do believe that it is incredibly important to keep personal touches in all wedding planning, the freedom in creating a themed wedding is super fun!
I have had the excitement of photographing several types of themed weddings and styled sessions: Christmas, winter, Thanksgiving, 50’s vintage, and Halloween. And Summer Simmon’s knocked this Halloween-themed wedding shoot out of the park! I hope it serves as some wedding inspiration for each of you Halloween fans.
But, if nothing more, soak in all of the Halloween feels, friends. It’s time for some ghosts and goblins. 🖤
