I’m excited to share some of the beautiful, fresh ways we’ve seen brides wearing their hair this wedding season – and I promise not to suggest you wear a full flower bouquet in your hair – yes, we’ve seen it on the New York fashion runways {and, looooove it!}. But, it is not for every one. Read on, and you just might find something you want to incorporate into your look for your big Knoxville wedding day!
The Swept-back Braided Chignon
Combining the classic chignon, the romantic braid, and the energy of curls, this loose hairstyle does it all! Soft, face-framing strands keep the up-do style feminine without having to worry about all of your hair flying in the wind if you plan to spend time outdoors.
Long Hair Half Pulled Back on One Side
Long-haired brides might just have the most options – that doesn’t make it any easier! This modern style combines the clean, controlled look of the top pulled back, with side-swept romantic flowing tresses. It’s elegant without being too formal. This bride accented with tiny flowers.
The Braided Chignon
This side-part and braided chignon is a great alternative to a simple up-do. The braid adds romance and the face-framing strands soften the look, perfect for a more formal venue like a Nashville Country Club or Knoxville church.
Half Up Half Down Hairstyle with a Braid
This half up style is the perfect look for an outdoor wedding. Allowing long flowing curls while keeping too much windblown hair from your face.
A few more things to consider:
Getting married outdoors? If you plan to wear your long hair down consider trying one other look at your hair trial that will keep your tresses secure, that way if the forecast calls for high winds you won’t have to stress.
Wearing a veil? If you’re wearing your long hair down, your veil should be at least as long as your hair.
Changing your look? Don’t do it too close to your wedding date – especially if you’re using a new salon! Give it a few weeks in case there are any disasters that need correcting, your new cut and color will still look fresh.
Now, gather those inspiration photos and let me know how you plan to wear your hair so we can plan how best to capture your big day!
