Hi friends!
This past weekend, I celebrated Nicole and Hayden at their Telico Village wedding, and it was an absolutely perfect fall day ☀️ Bounding into fall, hardly feeling as though I fully embraced summer, has left me feeling a little whirl-winded! Is that even a word? Haha!
But, stepping back and reviewing my summer has all the gratitude lights flashing. It was an amazing summer. It was a busy summer. It was full of elopements and small, family-only weddings. And it was packed full of awesome engagement sessions, most of which I haven’t taken the time to share.
So, after a little break from social media and blogging, I am back and excited to share some of these fun summer shoots and special memories.
Today’s Tuesday Tip: Have your engagement pictures taken by your wedding photographer.
Many professional photographers, including myself, include a complimentary engagement session with their wedding photography collections. It is so important to me to have this time with you that I include the session at no additional charge. But why is it so important?
- Getting to know you and your fiancé is one of the most important pieces of doing my job well. The more I know you, your personalities, how the two of you interact, your body language, and what you love and don’t love about pictures, the better images I can take of you. Having time to plan your engagement session and then meeting in person for the shoot itself gives me so much insight into you and how to approach your wedding day.
- Your wedding images will be beautiful. They will be full of emotions, family, details, and moments. But your engagement portraits? They give us time to play, to laugh, to share stories, to have fun. We will snuggle and run and goof off and laugh — a lot! These images are truly priceless.
- Engagement portraits are a fabulous trial run. You get to know me better. I get to know you better. And you have the opportunity to be in front of the camera before your big day. It is a full-on win-win! ✨
My 2021 calendar is filling up. If you’re in limbo as to your wedding photographer, let’s chat. I’m already so excited for next year’s adventures, and I would be honored to be part of yours.
